"You have a nice “young” horse, she has a nice character and she wants to learn. However she needs more muscles and more strength to fulfill all her possibilities It is very important that you now take notice of this and on the top of your priority list should be in my opinion work that makes her stronger, work that give her more muscles. In second place on the priority list should be something that will grow easier for her, forwardness. You should not worry too much about the gaits, she will have a nice tölt even if it is difficult to imagine how good she will become.
The strength you build up in many kinds of different work. Working in similar way as we were doing in the riding hall will give her strength but I will recommend doing this work more outside on nice riding roads. Everything you can do in the riding hall you can also do outside and I would prefer the work outside because of her forwardness. Focus on walk on the rein and remember that this is the starting point of everything. Also walk on the rein is work that gives her self confidence.
Suggestion: For the next four weeks put your focus on riding outside, doing different exercises you know in walk on the rein, shorter walk and walk on the rein again and finally walk with long rein. Use the landscape; let her climb a bit, but not too much. Remember to do mini breaks when you feel she needs them. Take care that your communications are as fine as you like them. Be precise. Good luck!"
